About IHOP
IHOP got its start in 1958 in Toluca Lake, a suburb of Los Angeles, California by Al and Jerry Lapin.
The franchised restaurant now has more than 1,650 locations around the world. There are a host of awards and recognitions that have been present to the restaurant. Most notably, the prestigious Advertising and Marketing Awareness award for “Come hungry. Leave happy.” Campaign.
IHOP Review
When you enter you are immediately greeted by the hostess. The setup is clear and open. There are booths and tables available; you will get seated almost immediately. Even during their busy times, they move quickly.
The food is breakfast based and hearty, you will definitely have leftovers. The pancakes whether the traditional buttermilk or the seasonal flavors are dependably satisfying.
The pumpkin spiced latte (though a seasonal item) is a must-try. It is served in a huge cup with thick whipped cream.
The whole staff is helpful. If your server is busy, another server or even a manager has no problem stepping in to get you what you need.
