About Starbucks
Founders are University of San Francisco students Gordon Bowker, Zev Siegl, and Jerry Baldwin. The first coffeehouse opened in Western Avenue, Seattle in 1971 and relocated to 1912 Pike Place.
To date, over 30,000 branches are found worldwide. At the 2015 Malaysia Human Resource Awards, it was awarded the Employer of Choice Silver Award.
