About Salata
Noticing a trend to healthy, made-from-scratch food, Berge Simonian started the franchise in 2005 after running a very typical diner for many years.
The chain is still growing fast, expanding to 41 locations outside of its base in Houston, Texas. A number of magazine features including the San Antonio Business Journal have seen this billed the “next generation salad bar.”

Inviting, sleek and modern as you walk in, Salata is set up like a Chipotle assembly line. Order at the counter and then enjoy your meal at the bar, table or grab a to-go wrap.
Really simple, fresh ingredients and a dedication to making everything in-house means you notice the natural flavor of ingredients. Build textures with nuts and fruits, add protein with lean chicken and savor all-natural dressings – no preservatives anywhere.
Try some more exotic toppings: you probably don’t use pumpkin seeds or jicama, and I’ve never had banana peppers in my salad. This is a great way to explore flavors you don’t normally buy or cook.
Staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. Getting food is quick, although wait times for seating may be up to 15 minutes at peak hours.
