About Rafferty’s
Dan Davis founded the chain in Kentucky, deciding in 1981 to bring handmade ingredients to the prepackaged and frozen world of franchise food.
Since then, 15 locations has seen that flagship store grow slowly in popularity.
Rafferty’s Review
Everything is stone or wood, with hotel lobby carpeting giving you an old-school feel. There is sports bar and table seating similar to Buffalo Wild Wings.
Food is pretty high quality. Rafferty’s actually makes good on their handmade promise, which is rare for a big diner franchise. Anything grilled is deliciously smoky, and fried food is crisped to golden.
A creamy potato bacon soup is the undisputed customer favorite. Try also the Jackson Hole filet, cooked over real hickory logs, and the suspiciously addictive mashed potatoes.
If your food somehow comes out badly, super friendly staff are on hand to make it right, often before you even ask. Wait times are normal for a diner.
