About Perkins
In 1958, Matt and Ivan Perkins were in Alaska and came across Smitty’s Pancake House. There Matt and Ivan received the recipe to Smittys Pancake House and opened up their own restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio called Perkins Pancake House.
Currently there are 400 restaurants in 33 states and also in five Canadian provinces.
Perkins Review
Overall the restaurant has a casual feel to it. The restaurants are open and welcoming to many with the seating arrangements. The seating arrangements include booths and tables.
You can expect sweet and richness with the breakfast. Anticipate freshness with the vegetables and tenderness with the meats.
It is recommended that you try the pancakes of course. As well it is recommended that you try the eggs in a hole. It is the cheapest meal you can get and it comes with eggs, meet, toast, and potato for four to five dollars. However, you don’t have to limit yourself to breakfast choices. They also have lunch and dinner meals.
Service is decent. The staff is expected to deliver quality service but not always the case. Wait times can vary depending upon your location and time. Sundays at brunch are busiest, so expect wait times to be around 30 minutes to an hour.
