About Metro Diner
Metro Diner opened in Jacksonville, Florida in 1992. In 2000, Master Chef Davoli and his family took over and reinvented the menu to include new dishes made from local ingredients.
Now, Metro Diner has over 60 locations in 14 states. It was named Best Breakfast, 2014-2017 by Jacksonville Magazine, Best Fried Chicken by Indianapolis Monthly, and has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence 2014-2017 by Trip Advisor. And these are just a few of the restaurant’s many recognitions.
Metro Diner Review
Metro Diner very much looks and feels like your typical diner with its black and white checkered floors. There’s a variety of seating to choose from, traditional tables and chairs, booth seating, or the famous diner-style stool at the counter.
Whatever your preference for seating, the food served to you is sure to be of excellent quality. Master chef Mark Davoli has really crafted an innovated menu that stands out from the typical diner food fare.
For breakfast you can have the famous Chicken and Waffles or perhaps you’d like to try something more unique, such as the Croissant French Toast with Blueberries. Lunch and dinner favorites include Shrimp and Grits, Pot Roast, and assortment of burgers and sandwiches.
The staff is known for its great service and if you come in at a busy time but prefer not to wait, perhaps you’d like to try the counter seating where you can get a front row view of your food being cooked.
