About MISSION BBQ

Friends Bill Kraus and Steve Newton founded Mission BBQ. It opened its doors on September 11, 2011 in a Baltimore suburb to commemorate the September 11 attacks and to put forward its mission of honoring the nation’s heroes.

Today Mission BBQ has 80 locations in 16 states. It gives a portion of its profits back to the community through military nonprofits and charities for police and firefighters.

MISSION BBQ Review

Mission BBQ has the fast-casual concept that is standard for BBQ chains. But what sets them apart is that the walls of the restaurants are adorned with pictures, patches, and other community donated memorabilia. And for two minutes every day at noon, everything stops at the restaurant as they play the national anthem. It is a uniquely patriotic dining experience that you can partake of by coming in for lunch before noon.

Mission BBQ takes great pride in their barbecue and the food shows it. Their meats are tender and flavorful but if you need that extra kick, they provide a range of BBQ sauces from different parts of the country.

When you dine at Mission BBQ, be prepared to feast. On the menu you have tender, mouthwatering brisket, ribs, pulled pork and other BBQ meats. There is also a nice range of sides such as coleslaw and macaroni and cheese.

Service here is welcoming and attentive. Veterans have reserved parking spots and will surely get special service but everyone is welcome here and the dining experience is great.
