True Food Kitchen was founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, a renowned physician and doctor of integrative medicine. He founded the restaurant on the principles known as the anti-inflammatory diet.
At present, they have a total of 14 restaurant locations and 6 more will be added by spring, fall, and summer of 2019.
