About Rainforest Cafe
The first Rainforest Café opened at Minnesota’s Mall of America in 1994. It was established by Steven Schussler, who later sold the brand to Landry’s Restaurants.
Now, there are 24 restaurants around the world, with locations in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates.
Rainforest Cafe Review
The unique atmosphere is a major attraction of the restaurant. You’ll enjoy a sit-down meal surrounded by rainforest décor such as lush vegetation, tropical fish, and animatronic animals.
The café menu offers flavors from around the word, including pastas, Caribbean-inspired dishes, and Mexican favorites such as tacos and fajitas. There are also American favorites including burgers and barbecue.
You’ll love the popular Jungle Steak and Shrimp. If you have a sweet tooth, try their Volcano dessert – a mix of chocolate cake, ice-cream, and whipped cream served with sparklers.
Staff is always friendly, but you may find wait times for seating can sometimes be high. However, you can enjoy the unique décor and gift shop while you wait.
