About HopCat
The first HopCat opened in Grand Rapids in January 2008. Their desire from the first was to provide great beer in a wonderful atmosphere. Several locations opened with the same philosophy in various places such as Ann Arbor, Chicago, Detroit, East Lansing, Kansas City, Louisville, and many more locations, for a total of 17. Each location continues with the tradition of providing great beer, but each location is different and unique. Each location is designed and crafted differently.
HopCat is mentioned among Top 50 bars in the United States by Draft Magazine. The magazine Beer Advocate ranked them as #3 Beer Bar in the world. CraftBeer.com even rated them as the #2 Beer Bar in all of the United States. During the years 2012-16, RateBeer.com has ranked HopCat in Grand Rapids as the #1 Brewpub in the United States.

Along with their whole delicious menu, they have their famous fries. Their fries were called Crack Fries for their addictive nature because of the great taste. The fries have cracked pepper seasoning, and an irresistible taste. Recently they announced plans to change the name of their fries, which they expect to change by January 2019.
The service at each HopCat location is friendly and the waitstaff is quite knowledgeable about their products. You can’t go wrong visiting any location of HopCat for great beer, great food, and a great atmosphere. Bring friends, family, business associates, or just come. It’s the place for you.
