About Yamato
Yamato is a steakhouse located in 1885 US Highway 231 S at Crawfordsville, Indiana. It operates from Monday to Sunday at 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, depending on the day. It’s closed on Tuesdays.
Although it has yet to win any notable award, the restaurant does take pride in being a landmark in the local community for being frequented by locals and visitors alike.
Yamato Review
The atmosphere in Yamato is decent to the point of unassuming. The point is that it is serviceable enough to make you feel like your eating at a Japanese restaurant without getting in the way of the dining experience.
The menu here obviously Japanese. It features the ecletic mix of Japanese dishes that uses fresh ingredients from the local market.
A must-try here is the steak section which includes Yamato’s Hibachi New York Strip and the Filet Mignon. If meat is not exactly your favorite, you can always try something healthier like the various rolls and a selection of sushi.
As for service, it is dependable. The staff are more than willing to accommodate every need you might have to keep your dining experience enjoyable.
