About TGI Fridays
Founder Alan Stillman opened the first restaurant of this chain in New York in 1965.
The chain enjoys over 870 locations worldwide. Recently, this chain was awarded the 2018 CIO 100 for the 2nd year in a row. This award is granted to restaurants in businesses that show excellence in information technology, which TGI Fridays uses to improve guests’ experiences.

This chain sports a contemporary design. Its overall feel is that of a cocktail party, which is exactly what Alan Stillman aimed for when he opened his first store in 1965. The restaurants are generally dimly lit, which also contributes to this Friday-every-day feel.
The cuisine at TGI Fridays ranges from Warm Pretzels to a New York Strip and just about everything in between. They only use all-natural chicken and fresh USDA choice steaks and burgers.
The Dragon-Glaze Chicken dish is a must-try. It is served on a bed of jasmine rice and vegetables. The glaze is a sweet and spicy sauce, which is coupled with a fresh mango Pico on top of the chicken.
The staff at Alan Stillman’s creation is articulate and matter-of-fact. Since the purpose of this chain is for its customers to sit down and have a good meal and cocktail, the wait times are typically 15-20 minutes
