About Long John Silver’s
The company was founded in August 1969 by Jim Patterson. He opened the first restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky, which was initially named Cape Codder.
Long John Silver’s used to be part of Yum! Brands Inc. but is now managed by a group of franchisees. There are currently more than 1,100 restaurants across 41 states.

The restaurants have a casual, and often fast-paced, atmosphere. Many locations have indoor seating only. Meals are good for lunch and dinner, and suitable even for kids.
Food is mostly fried, which is typical for a fast food chain. The extensive menu features tasty family meals, platters, and combo meals offered at reasonable prices.
Hush puppies, fish and shrimp platter, chicken planks, and broccoli soup are some of the customer favorites. Tacos, sandwiches, baked meals, desserts, and kids’ meals are also available.
The staff is always friendly and happy to assist customers. The place provides quick service, though longer wait times can be expected during peak hours.
