About J. Alexander’s
Three businessmen from Nashville, Tennessee founded the restaurant in 1971 under the business name Volunteer Capital Corp. They were John Neff, Jr., Earl Beasley, Jr., and Jack C. Massey.
As of 2018, there are over forty J. Alexander’s restaurants in more than ten U.S. states. Most of their menu items have been recognized my award-giving bodies in the restaurant industry.
