About Wendy’s
Wendy’s was founded in 1969 by Dave Thomas in Columbus, Ohio. The restaurant was named after his daughter who was affectionately called Wenda after not being able to pronounce her own name Melinda Lou.
There are 6,500 locations worldwide with plans to grow the restaurant to 7,500 locations by 2020. The restaurant chain has received many notable awards and not just for their tasty bites. Most recently, in June of 2014 they won the Silver Cannes Lion award for their social media campaign #pretzelLoveSongs.
Wendy’s Review
As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted with smiling faces and an easy to read menu. The line can sometimes be long, but don’t worry they move quickly and never mess up an order.
The food is always reliably hot and made to order. Their burgers are flawlessly seasoned and their any of their sides: salad, fries, baked potato, or chili, are a great balance.
If you’ve ever wanted to try breakfast from a place known for its burgers, try Wendy’s breakfast! Their spicy chicken biscuit is perfectly seasoned and the biscuit is light and flaky.
The long lines may seem intimidating, but you will never wait long. The staff at these restaurants are proficient and efficient. You will always be greeted with a smiling face whether you walk in or drive-thru.
